Brass Leopard Brush/Utensil Holder
This brush/utensil holder was thrown in six pieces using Speckled Buff clay and then attached to a slab base. It was covered in an Ancient Copper glaze and then layered with Snow. When these two glazes are layered as such, they react with a beautiful leopard print. It measures approximately 5 3/8" in height at the tallest cylinder, approximately 6 1/4" in width and 6" in depth. Felt pads were added to the bottom to protect furniture from the rough groggy surface of the clay. Stilt marks are visible on the bottom which helps keep the item from sticking to the shelf if glazes run during firing. These marks are not visible unless you turn the piece upside down.
